Keeping a Sketchbook

Working in a sketchbook has never been a habit with me. I have tried at various times to keep some sort of visual or written journal but they usually fall away. It’s not that I don’t draw. I have been doing more of it whenever I can’t think of anything else and I just want something different. I don’t do studies or preparatory work, the drawings are more or less placeholders. I like them since they don’t have to be taken seriously

In my last job I actually did start working on sketches while I was eating lunch. Not going anywhere and having an hour to kill when it took me about 10 minutes to eat, it seemed a good time to try to fill a sketchbook. The gallery is not in any particular order and the dates are when I scanned them, not when they were done.
